Do I need a Doorloom website to use the booking engine?
No. The engine is white-labelled specifically so it can sit on the custom website you already have, under your own brand. If you don't have a site yet, Doorloom can give you one — see your own brand website.
What's the difference between the two payment pages?
The first is a direct bank transfer. The page shows a UPI QR code, the guest pays straight into the property's bank account and shares the payment screenshot, and the property confirms the booking. There are no payment gateway charges and the money reflects in your account immediately. The second is the payment gateway page, where the guest pays online with UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking. You get both, so you don't have to push every guest down one route.
Why would I use the UPI QR page instead of the gateway?
Two reasons: you keep the payment gateway's cut, and the money is in your bank account immediately rather than waiting on a settlement cycle. The trade-off is the screenshot step — the guest sends proof of payment and you confirm the booking, instead of it confirming itself.
How does the payment gateway get set up?
Through Razorpay. Doorloom is an official Razorpay partner, which means your gateway onboarding and KYC are processed faster than applying on your own.
Can a guest book more than one unit at a time?
Yes — that's the point of it. Multiple stay types and multiple units go into a single booking: a villa plus two cottages, or a set of rooms, each with its own guest count, in one checkout and one payment.
Is GST handled for me?
Yes. GST is calculated automatically as per the applicable brackets and shown in the price breakdown before the guest pays, so the total they see is the total they're charged.
What stops a website booking from clashing with an OTA booking?
A confirmed booking blocks those dates in the app and across every connected channel straight away — the same sync the channel manager uses in the other direction.
